About The Position

@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide care for a female child located in the Ragley area. The shift days and times are Monday through Friday, 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday & Sundays, when needed. The candidate must be comfortable with animals for the consumer has pets. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver’s License or ID
• Working Cell Phone with Data Plan (Must be able to download company apps)
• Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report
• Commitment to excellent client care
• Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player
• Must be comfortable with animals
