Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Welsh - Morning | Ref 0126-MG-01
About The Position
@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide care weekly, morning shifts (6:00am to 2:00pm) and some weekends. This would be for a female with an intellectual disability (no physical restrictions), in the Welsh area. The candidate must have a valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle with up-to-date auto registration/insurance & inspection , to transport the consumer to community outings and appointments. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Valid Driver’s License, Current Up-to-date Auto (Registration/insurance/inspection)
- Working Cell Phone with Data Plan (Must be able to download company apps)
- Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report and clean driving record
- Commitment to excellent client care
- Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player
