About The Position
@Southwest Louisiana Independence Center (@SLIC) is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSW) to provide care for two female consumers both located in the Lake Charles area. The shift days and times are Monday and Tuesdays 8:00am to 1:00pm and Fridays 8:30am to 5:30pm (no weekends). The Direct Support Professional is responsible for the physical care of our clients who may no longer be able to take care of themselves due to age, illness, injury, surgery, or disability. The ideal candidate must be able to care for our clients and their property with dignity, patience, compassion, and respect.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver’s License or ID
- Working Cell Phone with Data Plan (Must be able to download company apps)
- Must be able to complete a Criminal Background report
- Commitment to excellent client care
- Must have Patience, Compassion, Positive Attitude, and be a Team Player
