The Direct Bill Specialist will manage the Broker and Producer Payable functions for the region; support the Production Accounting & Client A/R & Cash tower processing activities.

Requirements

High school diploma and 5 years related experience.
Well developed understanding of bookkeeping/accounting principals.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite of Office Products.
Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise.
Solid background in the use of technology, particularly applications specific to department/area.
Excellent communication skills written and oral.
Highly developed attention to detail, organizational and follow up capabilities.
High degree of business technology awareness and its applications to workplace efficiencies.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Effectively handle large, long-term projects as well as manage the details associated with everyday tasks.
Team-oriented.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree desirable.
Knowledgeable in using various analytical approaches to problem solving.
Work history in some sector of the insurance industry.

Responsibilities

Process production-related financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and adjustments.
Ensure accuracy in the recording and categorization of production accounting entries.
Reconcile production accounting records with internal financial systems and reports.
Identify and resolve discrepancies between production records and financial statements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date production accounting data in financial systems.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all production accounting activities.
Adhere to company policies and financial regulations related to production accounting.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and analyze production accounting reports, including expense reports, profitability analyses, and performance metrics.
Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
Assess and manage risks related to production accounting.
Work with other departments, such as production, finance, and operations, to gather necessary data and support production accounting activities.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to production accounting.
Assist in preparing documentation and reports for internal and external audits related to production accounting.
Support audit activities by providing necessary information and addressing audit findings.
