About The Position

The Salvation Army Midland Division Camp Mihaska in Bourbon, Missouri, is seeking a Dining/Dish Room Attendant. This part-time position, working 19 hours per week at $15.00 per hour, involves a variety of dining room and kitchen duties as directed, supporting the Mission of The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army is an international movement, an evangelical part of the universal Christian church, with a mission based on the Bible, motivated by the love of God, to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs without discrimination. Requirements

  • Good communication skills
  • Must be a team player and self-starter able to work with minimum supervision
  • Understand and support the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army Camp program

Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare the dining room prior to each meal
  • Serve meals efficiently and courteously
  • Wash tables, sweep and mop the floor after each meal as assigned
  • Operate in dish room and trash removal as assigned
  • Assist in the kitchen as assigned
  • Report problems with staff and campers to the lead cook
  • Adhere to and enforce camp policies and procedures
  • Be present at all meetings and programs unless otherwise directed
  • Work all camp rec rotations as assigned
  • Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards campers and staff
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Comply with The Salvation Army Safe From Harm guidelines
