The Role GEOS Digital Transformation is seeking a strategic and execution‑driven Digital Transformation Portfolio Manager to oversee the planning, prioritization, and delivery of digital initiatives across the enterprise. This role is responsible for managing the digital project portfolio, ensuring alignment with program needs and enterprise priorities, optimizing resource allocation, and driving measurable business impact, while balancing the investment portfolio around capability maturity, business value, risk, and architectural dependencies. The successful candidate will bring strong portfolio discipline, cross‑functional leadership, and a deep understanding of digital transformation to ensure GM’s digital investments deliver maximum value and provide both short term and long term value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, or digital transformation leadership.
  • Experience with portfolio management tools, digital delivery methodologies, and enterprise governance frameworks.

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of experience in program management, portfolio management, or digital transformation leadership.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, multi‑stakeholder portfolios in large enterprises.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Strategy & Governance Lead the governance of the digital project portfolio, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and program priorities.
  • Define and refine portfolio management frameworks, including intake, prioritization, and evaluation criteria to balance investments within an annual planning cycle.
  • Maintain enterprise‑wide visibility into digital initiatives, dependencies, risks, project performance, and value realization.
  • Program & Portfolio Leadership Manage the end‑to‑end digital project portfolio, driving clarity, cohesion, and impact across functions.
  • Identify redundancies, streamline efforts, and ensure optimal resource utilization across teams.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio‑level roadmaps, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms and business cases.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment Serve as a strategic partner to business, technical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment across leadership tiers, ensuring transparency in prioritization and decision‑making.
  • Communicate portfolio insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations to drive informed enterprise decisions.
  • Execution Oversight & Value Delivery Monitor project performance, ensuring delivery against scope, timeline, and value targets.
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and cross-project dependencies, driving mitigation strategies.
  • Champion continuous improvement in digital delivery practices, tooling, and portfolio operations.
