Job Description: This job is responsible for owning the end-to-end delivery and health of key digital capabilities or processes. Key responsibilities include translating business requirements into digital requirements and acceptance criteria, partnering with designers to develop client journeys, refining scope in collaboration with Technology teams, guaranteeing quality through business acceptance testing, and ensuring successful go-to-market. Job expectations include leveraging subject matter expertise and digital acumen to define and deliver solutions that solve business problems. The Digital Strategy Manager will help drive the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of key client-facing and/or advisor-facing digital experiences across Merrill and Private Bank channels. This role blends strategy + execution: translating business needs into prioritized digital outcomes, partnering with design and technology teams to deliver capabilities, and ensuring strong post-launch performance (adoption, stability, controls, and client experience). The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a matrixed environment, can influence without authority, and brings strong product/strategy instincts with disciplined delivery management (agile planning, requirements, testing, and go-to-market).

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in digital strategy, product management, or digital delivery/operations (financial services strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into digital requirements and acceptance criteria; comfortable working with agile teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience defining/using KPIs to drive decisions and measure outcomes.
  • Excellent executive communication skills—able to craft clear narratives, influence decisions, and navigate a matrixed organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under deadline in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with wealth management digital channels (brokerage, banking, trust, advisory journeys) and the needs of affluent/high-net-worth clients.
  • Background partnering with UX/XD teams on user-centered design, testing, and iterative improvement.
  • Familiarity with client-facing digital platforms (web and mobile) and key digital functions for investment accounts (balances, holdings & activity, statements & documents, eSignature, money movement, asset aggregation).
  • Experience supporting platform health and production issue management in regulated environments.
  • Experience with lifecycle tools similar to JIRA

Responsibilities

  • Delivers world-class digital software solutions, meets business and client needs, and manages timing, budget, and scope constraints
  • Owns operational routines, governance, and best practices that guarantee industry leading go-to-market and a healthy performance for the bank's digital solutions
  • Oversees governance, risk management, use of data, and client feedback to drive feature roadmap and prioritization at the project level
  • Manages project planning, sprint, and release planning and contributes to the execution of the program roadmap leveraging Agile principles
  • Creates presentations and written materials and communicates in an effective and engaging manner to enhance project outcomes
  • Builds and maintains relationships across stakeholders and partners in order to effectively navigate the bank, ensure successful delivery of assigned work, and secure ongoing support for owned features
  • Leverages knowledge of the business to make informed decisions at every stage of the product development and sustainment lifecycle
