The Digital Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of digital projects across AmaWaterways’ consumer website (amawaterways.com), Travel Agent portal, and mobile platforms. This role manages the end-to-end project lifecycle using Agile methodologies, coordinating cross-functional teams including Marketing, Engineering, Product, Design, and external vendors to deliver high-quality digital experiences on time and within budget. The ideal candidate should have deep experience in technical program management within travel or hospitality, a strong command of Scrum/SAFe practices, proven expertise in mobile app delivery and website platform management, and a data-driven approach to stakeholder reporting and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for AmaWaterways’ consumer website and Travel Agent portal, from requirements gathering through launch, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Design, and Marketing teams to plan and execute website enhancements, new feature development, and platform improvements using Agile Scrum methodologies.
  • Maintain and prioritize the digital project backlog, ensuring clear requirements documentation, acceptance criteria, and alignment to the product roadmap.
  • Oversee the integration of third-party systems, APIs, and vendor solutions into the web platform, managing technical dependencies and delivery timelines.
  • Conduct regular content and functionality audits across consumer and Travel Agent web properties to identify optimization opportunities and ensure quality standards.
  • Support the planning and delivery of mobile app features and enhancements, coordinating cross-platform efforts across iOS and Android teams.
  • Manage mobile app release processes, including monitoring market performance, coordinating rollbacks when necessary, and ensuring timely delivery of critical updates.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align mobile initiatives with the broader digital strategy and guest experience goals.
  • Implement and champion Agile SAFe/Scrum best practices across digital project teams, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, retrospectives, and release management.
  • Establish and maintain a single source of truth for project documentation, fostering transparency, accountability, and clear communication between teams and leadership.
  • Drive continuous process improvement to increase delivery velocity, reduce risk, and improve cross-team collaboration.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for digital project status, communicating progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders across Marketing, IT, and executive leadership.
  • Monitor and control project budgets through regular financial assessments, ensuring fiscal discipline and stakeholder confidence.
  • Facilitate integration of standardized reporting tools and KPI tracking (e.g., Adobe Analytics) to enhance project transparency and data-driven decision-making.
  • Direct cross-functional teams, including internal staff and external agency/vendor partners, to align and deliver project milestones in accordance with the roadmap.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and deliverables to ensure quality, timely delivery, and adherence to AmaWaterways standards.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and alignment sessions to drive digital initiatives forward and resolve blockers.
  • Mentoring junior project coordinators and fostering Agile best practices across teams.
