About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) seeks a Digital Design Engineer to join their team in Huntsville, AL. This position focuses on designing high-speed digital circuits and performing signal integrity analysis. The role involves electronic systems and electrical design, simulation, and verification/validation testing of high-speed printed circuit boards (PCB) throughout the full product development cycle. Responsibilities also include providing design guidelines and support for system architecture design, board layout, product bring-up, debug, validation, and factory builds. The position requires obtaining a U.S. Security Clearance, for which U.S. Citizenship is mandatory, and an interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is necessary.

Requirements

3+ years of related experience for level 3, 5+ years for level 4.
Experience in digital circuit design.
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
An interim or final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical Engineering.
Ability to develop design verification plan and perform system integration.
Experience in high-speed digital circuit design with ability to perform signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards like 100G Ethernet, DDR 3/4, PCIe.
Experience in processor board design or complex digital design including processor or FPGA System on a chip (SoC).
Perform circuit analysis and circuit design and digital circuit design in LTSpice or similar.
Familiar with high-speed serial interface protocol like ethernet, PCIe.
Experience in FPGA sizing and power to support board design.
Strong understanding of PCB in design for manufacturing (DFM).
Ability to perform post board layout signal integrity analysis.
Ability to perform digital high speed design verification and validation including measurements.
Ability to mentor others and guide other in digital high-speed design and analysis.
Experience in schematic capture using Siemen (formally Mentor Graphic) Expedition Tool.
Ability to operate as electrical lead to coordinate the rest of the electrical design team for complex custom electronic systems.
