We are seeking a resourceful and creative Digital Content Specialist to help bring our brand portfolio to life across ecommerce platforms and digital channels. As part of a lean and highly collaborative marketing team in a fast-paced food and beverage company, you will play a vital role in procuring, creating, and adapting compelling visual and written content that supports both A+ content for ecommerce and social/digital marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is a concept-driven designer with a strong understanding of digital merchandising, ecommerce best practices, and creative storytelling across platforms.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in content creation, digital marketing, and/or social media.
  • Proven ability to capture, edit, and publish high-quality content using mobile devices and DSLR cameras.
  • Strong visual storytelling skills, including scripting, field production, and interview-style content.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing real-time content production under deadline.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours which on occasion could include nights and weekends.
  • Clear creative point of view with flexibility to pivot and incorporate feedback.
  • Strong affinity for Jel Sert's brands and an eagerness to experiment and grow new skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media, marketing or related field required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of content design, graphic design and/or digital creative experience required.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual storytelling, digital design, and content creation.
  • Minimum 3 years B2C digital marketing experience preferred.
  • Concept-driven designer with expertise in platforms including Meta, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Proficient in Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, Premiere Rush, or Final Cut), HTML and WordPress
  • Basic photography, image editing, or video editing skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Amazon Seller Central and Salsify is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of brand standards, layout principles, mobile-first design, and content syndication/tagging.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Link to an online portfolio with work relevant to CPG or food & beverage brands is required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving and project management abilities.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to optimize website content, including responsive/mobile-friendly image formatting.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of A+ content creation or digital merchandising best practices.
  • Experience with tools such as Shopify, Workfront, or other marketing operations platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop A+ content modules (Amazon, Walmart, Target, etc.) that visually and verbally communicate product value and brand story.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Ecommerce teams to create optimized product imagery, comparison charts, videos, infographics, and enhanced brand pages.
  • Adapt content to meet retailer-specific guidelines and syndication requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  • Lead the development, sourcing, and editing of content including: Product photography Lifestyle imagery Short-form video or GIFs Branded illustrations or icons Copywriting and visual storytelling for web/social
  • Partner with external agencies, photographers, stylists, and freelancers as needed to produce new content that meets brand standards.
  • Manage agency relationships and provide creative direction to ensure consistency with brand voice and ecommerce performance objectives.
  • Review and support the development of creative briefs for agency partners, ensuring clarity of objectives, brand alignment, and feasibility before submission.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager to create scroll-stopping visual assets for organic and paid social campaigns.
  • Design creative for websites and digital advertising with a consistent brand look, feel, and tone.
  • Maintain an organized content library and digital asset management in partnership with the Marketing Technologist and Salsify lead
  • Contribute to monthly content demands and cross-functional marketing timelines.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, creative best practices, and consumer engagement strategies.
