About The Position

The Digital Banking Product Manager will possess an ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and vendors to inspire efficiency, communication, teamwork, and collaboration. This role is responsible for the monitoring and reporting of Online & Mobile banking efforts, collaborating with multiple internal and external resources, contributing to Online & Mobile banking strategy, and being the department’s subject matter expert in all facets of Online & Mobile banking. You will oversee the ongoing development, maintenance, and evolution of the credit union’s Online & Mobile banking products and services, as well as play a critical role in shaping the future of our online & Mobile banking offerings, driving Member engagement, and ensuring a seamless user experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, such as Product Management, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant equivalent experience. Master’s degree a plus.
  • Five years or more of digital services, technical product management, or technical integration experience within a large organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise related to Digital Banking products and services.
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management
  • Data driven decision making
  • Prior experience with managing technically-oriented third party vendor relationships.
  • Deep understanding of Digital Banking products, services, and experiences, and how they interconnect at a high level.
  • Experience writing Documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Five or more years’ experience working supporting Digital services to Member preferred.
  • Financial Services Industry experience preferred.
  • Experience in technology integration, software development, and/or technical vendor management is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Play a leading role in the development and execution of an Online & Mobile banking product strategy, aligned with the organization’s goals, market trends, and Member needs.
  • Lead a team of Digital Banking services Dream Makers, including coaching, performance appraisals, defining and setting goals, and prioritizing and evaluating work.
  • Lead market research and competitive analysis efforts related to Online & Mobile Banking in order to identify opportunities for product enhancements, new features, and innovative solutions.
  • Deeply understand and empathize the challenges of our Members and stakeholders face, and how Online & Mobile banking can help address them.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, developers, data analysts, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and define product specifications.
  • Lead the Online & Mobile banking features product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept validation to design, development, testing, and launch.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on Member feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility, either developed in-house or acquired through vendor provided product or service.
  • Develop and maintain a clear product roadmap that aligns with business objectives and effectively communicates the direction of the product to internal teams and stakeholders. Collaborate with vendors to ensure the successful and on-time delivery of new features.
  • Champion user-centered design principles to encourage intuitive and engaging Online & Mobile banking experiences that delight Members.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of new features while adhering to project timelines and budgets, working in close collaboration with PMO team when appropriate.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimizations.
  • Participate in the identification and mitigation of potential risks associated with product development, regulatory compliance, and security to ensure a safe and secure Online & Mobile banking environment.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal departments, external partners, and third-party vendors to drive collaborative efforts and achieve product goals.
  • Effectively communicate product updates, milestones, and performance to stakeholders, executives, and team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Online & Mobile banking to continuously innovate and enhance our offerings.
