The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) funds programs to reduce the effects of poverty. DYCD works to improve the quality of life of New Yorkers by collaborating with community based organizations. DYCD invests in the talents and assets of our communities to help them develop, grow and thrive. DYCD disseminates information on program and opportunities through its websites. DYCD also provides resources to community based organizations and vendors through its websites. DYCD seeks a college aide to support the agency's efforts to ensure websites and web content are accessible. This is a great opportunity to gain hands on experience while obtaining a college degree. Digital accessibility is the practice of making content, systems, and websites usable by everyone, regardless of ability. The College Aide will work closely with the our accessibility and communications teams to identify, assess, and resolve accessibility issues within our websites and web content.
