About The Position

Our NeuroRestorative facility located in San Dimas, CA, is a fully licensed JCAHO accredited Congregate Living Healthcare (CLHF) facility that specializes in brain, spinal cord and other life-altering injuries and medically-complex illnesses. We offer in-patient treatment in a residential home-like setting to individuals of all ages, which includes Neurorehabilitation, respite, post-acute, and sub-acute care. We offer a variety of services including amputee care, complex wound care, G- and J- tube feedings, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, multiple IV antibiotic therapy, pulmonary care, social & recreational activities, and more. Requirements

• Current food handler’s certificate
• Kitchen/restaurant and/or cook experience required (preferably in healthcare)
• Janitorial/cleaning experience required
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach
• An acute attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain kitchen and other work areas so that health standards are met and the home is neat and debris-free.
• Maintain and clean counter and floor surfaces, and empty trash receptacles.
• Follow universal precautions and procedures regarding cleaners, hazardous materials, and infection control.
• Disinfect equipment and supplies.
• Purchase groceries and kitchen supplies
• Review work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared
• Prepare, season, and cook food
• Carve portions of meat, fish, or fowl for individual servings
• Inspect food storage and directs sanitary maintenance of kitchen and storage facilities
• Oversee and coordinate activities of kitchen workers preparing and cooking foods
• Plan and review menus
• Determine food quantities, labor, and overhead costs
