About The Position

R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at their TALMO, GA Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, the role involves day-to-day equipment maintenance on the company's fleet, which includes preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This may also encompass maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding, depending on the specific location.

Requirements

• Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
• Ability to handle major repairs
• Experience with AC and Electrical systems
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Must have own tools
• 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience preferred
• Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
• Experience using Cetaris for work orders
• Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts
• Execute minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts
• Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies (depending on location)
• Perform welding (depending on location)
