About The Position
This is a Full-Time Diesel Mechanic position with R+L Carriers at their Boise ID, Service Center, offering earnings up to $40.48 per hour. The role operates Monday - Friday with various shifts. PTO is available after 90 calendar days of employment, and the company offers an excellent benefits package, including access to employee resorts. As a Diesel Mechanic, the primary responsibility involves day-to-day equipment maintenance on the company's fleet, which includes preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. Specific tasks may also involve maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding, depending on the service center location.
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Must be able to handle major repairs
- Experience with AC and Electrical
- Have the ability to lift 50lbs
- Must have own tools
Nice To Haves
- 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience
- Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
- Experience using Cetaris used for work orders
- Class A CDL holder
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day equipment maintenance on our fleet equipment
