About The Position
R+L Carriers has an immediate opportunity for Diesel Mechanics at their Boise ID, Service Center. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on the fleet equipment, consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts. This can include maintaining trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies, and welding depending on the location.
Requirements
- Experience in preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel engines
- Ability to handle major repairs
- Experience with AC and Electrical systems
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Must have own tools
Nice To Haves
- 2+ Years of Diesel Mechanic experience
- Experience in preventive maintenance of Cummins & Detroit engines
- Experience using Cetaris for work orders
- Class A CDL holder
- Experience driving Class 8 commercial trucks
- Experience in Trailer PMs and repairs
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts
- Execute minor to major repairs to Class 8 trucks, trailers, and potentially forklifts
- Maintain trailers, overhead doors, lift gates, dollies (depending on location)
- Perform welding (depending on location)
