About The Position
Diesel Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic Roanoke, VA | Vermeer All Roads Start the new year off with Vermeer All Roads in Roanoke, VA as a Diesel Heavy Equipment Technician. This role will diagnose, service, and repair Vermeer and related construction equipment. Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, electrical, and hydrostatic diagnostic capability
- Proficiency with repair documentation (CDK experience preferred)
- Welding ability and safe work practices
- Detail-oriented, organized, and team-focused

Responsibilities
- Service, repair, and recondition Vermeer equipment as directed by the Branch Service Manager
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions; hydraulic and electrical experience required
- Recognize and recommend appropriate repairs to the Service Manager
- Perform effective welding as needed
- Create accurate repair estimates within work orders
- Maintain detailed repair records in CDK Global
- Communicate with OEM/factory for technical assistance
- Perform other duties as assigned
