Die Cutter Operator

About The Position

Middlestreet Graphic and Display is seeking a skilled and reliable operator to manage both flatbed die-cutting equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, efficient production while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (technical training preferred)
2+ years of die cutting or similar equipment experience
Experience with digital cutters (e.g., Zünd, Elitron, CNC routers, laser cutters)
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret job specs, layouts, and structural drawings
Familiarity with materials like corrugate, plastics, and SBS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Attention to detail and precision in cutting
Knowledge of machine maintenance and safety protocols
Ability to identify and correct cutting defects
Experience using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain flatbed die-cutting machines
Perform changeovers, adjustments, and troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly
Interpret job tickets, drawings, and cut files for accurate execution
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
Conduct routine maintenance and report mechanical issues
Optimize material usage and minimize waste
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Complete production and quality documentation
Collaborate with production, design, and quality teams
Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely
