Our Kawneer plant is located in Cranberry Township, PA which is about 30 minutes north of Pittsburgh, PA. This location has continuously built our products here since the early 1970s and we have a long legacy of products we’ve manufactured including the windows for the crown of the Statue of Liberty. Currently we supply commercial windows and aluminum sticks to companies nationwide. We are easily accessible being surrounding by many major highways as well as have many popular shopping, recreation, and dining options.

Responsibilities

  • Function as die corrector
  • Train other die shop employee
  • Must be proficient at polishing.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Run milling machine, and grinder
  • Complete die correcting – fixing flow, die lines, and finish problems
  • Use nose piece to identify any finish or quality issues on extrusion runs
  • Perform flow correction, correct angularity, waving, and runout
  • Use test dies to ensure extrusions are correct
  • Scrap and write up replacement dies and deliver to Die Shop Manager
  • Ability to document knockoff forms with correction
  • Use all tooling associated with the die shop.
  • Maintain die storage area
  • Effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other departments related to production.
  • All other duties as assigned.
