About The Position

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Dialysis Technician follows policies and procedures per the state Scope of Practice in a safe and efficient manner. Salary Range $41,934.30 -$62,901.46 Salary Disclosure Statement The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a dialysis treatment center
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Must be in good standing as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) Certified by Maryland Registry
  • Must hold a current license in the state of Maryland as a Dialysis Technician
  • Demonstrated completions of all applicable state requirements for education training, competency, and standard of practice
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Knowledge with basic computer skills and other health systems required
  • Must be able to lift patients and assist with ambulation when needed

Responsibilities

  • Record and monitor pre and post treatment vital signs
  • Collect and label blood specimens and ensure timely delivery to specified labs
  • Document appropriate patient information and report all new and unusual incidents, information, complaints, or problems to the Registered Nurse
  • Set-up, prime and monitor dialysis equipment and cleaning equipment
  • Promote and assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment
