The Imaging Systems Administrator is a member of the Diagnostic Imaging Department responsible for supporting imaging operations, workflow, and development. This role engages all aspects of digital imaging workflows including image acquisition and processing, image distribution and storage, image visualization and interpretation, reporting, and communications. The Imaging Systems Administrator must have a solid background in both imaging technology and information systems, as this position often bridges Imaging with other clinical areas and Enterprise Imaging Information Systems (EIS). This individual may be responsible for providing support to areas such as PACS, RIS, DICOM integration and validation, PACS quality control and assurance, and digital imaging operations. The Imaging Systems Administrator interacts with all sections of the imaging department, providing operational support and technical guidance.
