About The Position

As a DevOps Software Engineer supporting the HPC Integration & Test IV Task, you will design and maintain automation that accelerates development and deployment for high-performance computing systems. You’ll drive efficiency, consistency, and scalability by applying Infrastructure as Code principles and continuous integration best practices. Here's What Your Day-to-Day Might Include Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate provisioning and configuration of HPC systems Use Bash and Python to script and streamline system build, integration, and deployment workflows Implement CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, or CircleCI Manage software releases, ensuring version control, automation, and risk mitigation practices are followed Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Containerd for build and runtime consistency Apply DevSecOps methodologies to improve reliability, security, and scalability across systems Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and stakeholders to enhance deployment efficiency and performance Use Git for source control and version management across development teams

Requirements

  • Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (must be active). We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances.
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas.
  • Education and Experience: Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus three (3) years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus five (5) years of experience OR seven (7) years of software engineering experience in similar scope and complexity
  • Linux command-line and system tools experience
  • Bash and Python scripting for automation
  • Release management best practices, versioning, and risk management
  • Software build and release management with multiple programming languages
  • CI/CD principles and pipeline development (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Travis CI, CircleCI)
  • Infrastructure as Code development using Ansible
  • DevSecOps toolchains and automation practices
  • Containerization using Docker and Containerd
  • Source control management using Git

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
