About The Position
The Development Department is the heart of any nonprofit. Rodale Institute’s Development Department is seeking a highly motivated intern to gain hands-on experience in a wide variety of development tasks such events, email, online giving, print campaigns and more. The ideal candidate will be a deadline oriented, enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working on a wide variety of tasks. The skills and tactics you will learn with us are 100% transferable across the nonprofits industry.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience or coursework in Marketing, Communications, Sales or Nonprofit management
- Interest in organic agriculture, food, farming, and the environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Desire to help make the planet a better place
Responsibilities
- Assist Development team with events such as the Leadership Society Dinners, Seasonal Organic Dinners, Annual Organic Field Day, Homecoming, Spring Organic Market, etc.
- Assist with Organic Hero Box campaign
- Provide support for digital and print giving campaigns
- Assist with Alumni and Perennial Partners outreach
- Grant writing assistance, as needed
- Work in our Customer Management System (CMS) to research perspective funders and conduct general maintenance of donor record.
- Assist in organizing and updating archive of all digital and print campaigns
- Support monthly renewal mailing
