About The Position

The Stations Curriculum Developer is responsible for designing, authoring, and maintaining the structure and content of Allegiant Stations' training curriculum in alignment with operational and regulatory requirements. This role leads curriculum development efforts for new training initiatives, revisions to existing curricula, and curriculum gap assessments to ensure training content supports effective and consistent station operations. The Stations Curriculum Developer works closely with the Manager, Stations Training, Standards Specialists, Corporate Trainers, Instructional Designers, subject matter experts, and operational stakeholders to translate Allegiant policies, procedures, and operational requirements into structured, learner-centric curriculum. This position serves as a key link between operational expertise and instructional design, ensuring training materials are accurate, practical, and aligned with real-world execution in a regulated operational environment.

Requirements

  • Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Must pass a Criminal Background Check.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, training program development, or equivalent airline training experience in an operational or regulated environment.
  • Capable of interacting with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage own time and prioritize tasks to accomplish required goals and objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging in meetings, conference calls, and working sessions as required.
  • Ability to exercise reasoned, measured decision-making based on analysis of facts and evaluation of alternatives.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to successfully complete required and recurrent training.
  • Some travel may be a requirement of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead curriculum framework and role-based design for Stations training, ensuring alignment across initial, recurrent, and job-specific training.
  • Own and maintain the Stations Training Course Guide, including course-to-job-code mappings, prerequisites, and required vs. optional training within the Learning Management System.
  • Develop and author curriculum for new training courses, including defining learning objectives, content scope, sequencing, and instructional approach.
  • Lead revisions to existing course curricula to reflect approved policy, procedural, or operational changes.
  • Translate operational requirements and SME input into structured, ID-ready curriculum frameworks, and design artifacts.
  • Define instructional strategy and modality recommendations prior to instructional design and course build.
  • Conduct curriculum gap assessments to evaluate existing training against operational requirements and performance expectations.
  • Determine and recommend required curriculum updates or new training development based on gap assessment findings.
  • Partner with Stations Training and Allegiant University to design and evolve role-based training pathways.
  • Collaborate with the Stations Training Manager, Stations Standards Manager, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure curriculum supports operational goals.
  • Engage with subject matter experts, corporate trainers, and frontline team members to validate content and incorporate real-world scenarios.
  • Ensure consistency in curriculum structure, terminology, and instructional approach across Stations training materials.
  • Ensure any direct reports understand and apply our Customer Commitment and customer service standards to their daily responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Model Allegiant’s customer services standards in personal actions and when providing leadership direction.
