About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: The Developer 1 performs problem solving tasks of simple complexity. Writes, configures, builds and/or modifies software, tools and/or application programs and participates in unit testing of modified components. Develops skills in design and problem solving. Participates in training opportunities to further develop technical skills. Develops logic skills necessary to learn computer programming language concepts and techniques as well as software applications and tools. Useful knowledge of structured application analysis, design, and database practices. Learns and adapts to continuously changing technology. Effectively communicates in a courteous and professional manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs problem solving tasks of simple complexity. Creates flow charts for technical analysis so that the project team can understand the data flow. Develops skills in design and problem solving. Participates in training opportunities to further develop technical skills. Develops logic skills necessary to learn computer programming language concepts and techniques as well as software applications and tools. Useful knowledge of structured application analysis, design, and database practices. ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree OR Associates degree in an Information Technology related program with 0-2+ years of experience Certification: A certificate of training or expert in one of the systems supported Experience: 0-2 years TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Regular computer work, and sitting Occasional walking, standing, and lifting INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT: Performs duties within scope of general company policies, procedures, and objectives. Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments. Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
