Desktop Technician
About The Position
Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Desktop Technician to join our team! We are looking for someone that will support our mission to consistently deliver creative, high-quality, technology-based services to our customers on time and within budget. This position will provide both deskside and remote support to senior level staff. Supported technologies will include but will not be limited to in the following technology areas; Microsoft Windows OS, software applications, desktop and laptop support including hardware peripherals, printer support. This position is located at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ.
Requirements
- Experience providing deskside technical support within a corporate environment.
- Expert level knowledge of MS Windows OS.
- Experience providing technical support for the MS Office 365 applications.
- Hands-on experience supporting desktops, laptops, printer, networking and desktop peripherals.
- Possess soft skills such as effective communication, critical thinking, and creative problem solving.
- High School diploma required.
- Must be US Citizen
- Cyber security certification such as CompTIA Security + or the ability to earn within two months of employment required. Training towards obtaining certification will be provided by UTRS.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of hardware inventory control is a plus.
- Technical School training or vendor certifications are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide white-glove level technical support to senior level staff.
- Support MS Windows OS to include application installation, software updates, patching and scanning vulnerabilities, general troubleshooting, etc.
- Provide expert level hardware support to cover desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Provide technical support and guidance for Android and Apple mobile devices.
- Be subject matter expert on the applicable governance for present technologies.
- Be liaison to upper tier support and track reported incidents to their resolution.
