About The Position

The Desktop Support Technician provides on‑site technical support for hardware, software, and network issues. This role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving IT problems to minimize business disruption. The technician serves as a key contact for end users, delivering reliable technical assistance and strong customer service.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in Technical Support or Desktop Support roles
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common IT hardware
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service‑focused with strong attention to detail
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or MCP are a plus

Nice To Haves

  • 3–5 years of desktop support experience in a corporate environment
  • Broad knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365, OneDrive
  • Experience with remote support tools (e.g., Bomgar, RDP)
  • Experience supporting virtual meeting tools, preferably Microsoft Teams
  • ServiceNow ticketing system experience
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Adaptive, flexible, and strong problem‑solving abilities
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Respond to service requests and incidents via phone, email, or in person
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
  • Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software following company standards
  • Assist users with application issues, operating systems, and network connectivity
  • Document support activities and updates in the ticketing system
  • Collaborate with IT teams for escalations and project work
  • Provide user guidance on IT policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and uphold security requirements
