About The Position

This team is currently looking for two technicians to join their team in a long term, extendable contract for first shift (Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm and 8am to 5pm). These individuals will be supporting the hospital and the surrounding ambulatory clinics, main duties include: - Hardware support: set up of work stations, break/fix tickets include swapping devices, peripheral device support and support for WOWs (workstation on wheels) mostly used by doctors and nurses. - Support of day-to-day activities: 50% of the time is spent supporting hardware tickets, the other 50% of the time will be supporting projects that include hardware refreshes to replace obsolete devices, deployments, migrations, imaging of new devices, etc. - Some of the break fix issues could be related to PCs, printers (including zebra printers) and other peripheral devices (connectivity), why applications aren't running, putting machines into AD and onboarding of new users. - They will also be spending some time supporting asset management, commissioning and decommission of devices. This client uses ServiceNow as their ticketing system and asset tracking, Bomgar to do remote support, they have desktops and VDI. Vocera Support for their Voice Environment, and Imprivata Badge Access. This is a Citrix environment, some basic EPIC support as well. This is a windows environment currently on Windows 10 and looking to upgrade to Win11 in the next couple of months. This person will support the device upgrade to ensure all computers can run on Win11.

Requirements

  • Great understanding of Windows 10 is required - exposure to Windows 11 imaging and set up is a plus.
  • Experience imaging - Lenovo computers come already set up, they do take care of imaging - mostly done through imaging server or flash drive - not done from scratch.
  • Experience with printers: installing new printers, setting them up, dealing with printer drivers and printer Logic.
  • Personable with end users - doctors and nurses that have urgency to get their devices to work, will also support people with little to no tech skills - patience is key!
  • Team player - Willing to communicate and ask questions - because of the setting they prefer someone to ask for help than try to put out a fire by themselves and take longer in the process.
