About The Position

Arvinas is a clinical-stage biotechnology company dedicated to improving the lives of patients suffering from debilitating and life-threatening diseases through the discovery, development, and commercialization of therapies that degrade disease-causing proteins. The company utilizes its proprietary PROTAC Discovery Engine platform to engineer targeted protein degraders. Arvinas is currently advancing multiple investigational drugs through clinical development programs for various conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases, mutated cancers, non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, and breast cancer. Recent milestones include FDA acceptance of a New Drug Application for vepdegestrant and strategic partnerships with Pfizer and Novartis. The Desktop Support Specialist will perform Level 2 day-to-day escalation activities, encompassing Deskside Support, Software Distribution, Asset and Desktop management, Executive Support, Event Support, and Audio Visual Support for Arvinas. This position is located at the company's headquarters in New Haven, CT.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability and passion for the delivery of high-quality end-user support experiences.
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of desktop support best practices in a research pharmaceutical setting.
  • Ability to prioritize and act in high-pressure situations.
  • Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal and technical skills in communication, both written and verbal at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT Service Desk systems and tools, ideally BMC Footprints Service Management.
  • Executive and Audio-Visual support functions required with a track record of rapid issue resolution, and support experience for hybrid meetings and events.
  • Very strong business analysis skills.
  • Very strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent task management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • 4 + years’ experience in IT.
  • Experience providing IT application support and maintenance.
  • Ability to work without a need for a current or future VISA sponsorship.
  • Ability to lift/carry 15/30 pounds unassisted/assisted.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a controlled environment with and around biological, infectious and hazardous materials.
  • Ability to gown/degown PPE.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to engage in communications via phone, video, and electronic messaging.
  • Ability to engage in problem solving, analysis and dialogue.
  • Ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to maintain general availability during standard business hours.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Information Management Systems or other related IT discipline.
  • Proven 3-5 years experience in a support services role.
  • ITIL Knowledge, preferably certification.
  • Knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office365 Stack including Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Office Licensing.
  • Familiarity with ITIL 4 Framework.
  • Precise knowledge of Asset Management including physical assets and software licenses.
  • Experience in life sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 100% of the requests, incidents, and problems.
  • Manage and coordinate urgent and complicated support issues.
  • Ensure that all processes used by the service desk are thoroughly documented, consistently audited, and regularly improved.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
