About The Position

Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Desktop Support Analyst This important role is part of the End User Services Team and provides desktop support to internal and external users. The Service Desk staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, which provides services via phone, email, internal message system, remote software, and in person. This role involves frequent customer interactions, requiring outstanding customer service skills. This role is responsible for logging and resolving incidents and service requests, ensuring that service levels and targets are achieved as well as meeting customer satisfaction and continuous service delivery demands. Requirements

  • A few years of experience in desktop support with technical proficiency in Windows OS, networking, and hardware support.
  • Experience with MS Office, M365, and IT ticketing systems.
  • Ability to work independently to identify and resolve desktop and application admin issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service experience supporting internal and external customers with IT requests.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to handle the most difficult situations professionally. Skills such as listening, integrity, positive attitude, ability to make decisions, and patience are essential
  • Ability to assist business clients with applications, connectivity, training, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to learn and support new systems and applications.
  • Basic hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
  • Virginia Housing requires associates to live and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PC management tools such as System Center Configuration Manager and Intune.
  • Knowledge of computer and/or network security systems, applications, procedures and techniques.
