Designer I Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Designer will use 2D and 3D software to assist the Design Team in the development of designs and drafting construction documents in support of clients' building program Designer should utilize education and experience to independently tackle challenges as they arise on projects with the support of Design Team lead. Designer shall gain experience evaluating client requirements, building code, and zoning regulations to develop design recommendations. Provide technical design planning and coordination in a collaborative and multi-disciplined environment

Requirements

  • Equivalent of a Bachelors degree in Architecture or Interior Design or an Architectural Studies degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate construction documents detailing the clients vision and goals
  • Document and analyze existing building conditions to produce as-built documents and reports (Travel required)
  • Conduct building code analysis and research regulatory requirements to determine design constraints
  • Develop design options and alternates
  • Coordinate building components and systems with other disciplines to develop construction documents based on the clients requirements
  • Designer shall perform quality control of their own work prior to giving to the Architect of Record for signing and sealing
  • Depending on needs of client and team, Designer could have direct contact with client on a regular basis
