About The Position

At MilliporeSigma, the Designer/Drafter 2 will work with a team of designers dedicated to generating/revising CAD drawings for quotes, prototypes and engineering change requests as well as supporting the Manufacturing floor as issues arise in assembly builds. The Designer/Drafter 2 is also in regular communication with Sales, Manufacturing, and other Engineering departments.

Requirements

Associate Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, etc.)
1+ year of experience in Computer Aided Drafting

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials etc)
3+ years of experience with CAD Software OR internship with CAD software
Knowledge of Salesforce.com, EPDM, SAP, Oracle, MS Office, ManGo.
Strong CAD skills, specifically in SolidWorks with assemblies, exploded views, and detailed drawings.
Ability to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity following established policies and procedures.
Ability to work on multiple projects, skilled multi-tasker, meet established deadlines, and follow up on requests for action or information.
Ability to learn new skills.
Commitment to customer satisfaction both internally and externally.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work semi-independently, with minimal to moderate supervision.

Responsibilities

Generate and revise CAD drawings in SolidWorks
Update bill of material and routing information in ERP system
