About The Position

Lockheed Martin Space Programs is actively looking for candidates who test engineering experience with an unrelenting commitment to drive continuous improvement in producibility & testability. This person will be collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, production, finance, quality, etc.) to evaluate design trade-offs, support producibility, drive commonality, and manage requirements flow down efficiently while aligning with Lockheed Martin Space programs overall procurement strategy, helping to reduce lead-time, and promote business objectives of resiliency, cost, cash, and growth. As a Design for Test Engineer, you will be the voice of Production Test in early engagement with Design Engineering & Program Management. You will partner with early lifecycle product design and development teams with responsibility for assessing designs for testability. The Design for Test engineer will be involved from initial concept and focus on steering designs towards lowest lead-time solutions & commonality/standardization across the enterprise. You will engage on a regular basis with a broad set of stakeholders including leadership during early program phases. You will work closely with both Support Equipment & Flight Hardware teams to drive collaboration, concurrency, & optimal solutions for the entire systems lifecycle. You will leverage experience from the DFX team to create new testability criteria and recommendations. Strong interpersonal skills, innovation, and willingness to respectfully challenge the assumptions is critical. The candidate will be prepared to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment in which the best ideas regularly set the course of the team and Program.
