Overall Scope Perform all duties necessary to support the Product Development Engineering team by executing tests, preparing mechanical or electro‑mechanical test setups, documenting results, and maintaining lab organization for a variety of automotive products.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings, schematics, and test specifications.
- Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
Nice To Haves
- Background in electrical circuits or mechanical systems is beneficial.
- Prior experience in engineering, automotive, manufacturing, or testing environments is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assemble and prepare test setups for the evaluation of manufactured or purchased components and assemblies.
- Operate test equipment, mechanical setups, and measurement devices to perform product testing as requested.
- Follow test procedures, engineering drawings, and documented specifications to ensure proper test execution
- Record test data accurately and provide clear observations or notes regarding product behavior.
- Safely operate hand tools, simple machines, and basic mechanical measurement instruments.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe laboratory workspace.
- Support engineers in analyzing competitor products or conducting failure mode reviews.
- Manage multiple test tasks with attention to timelines and frequent interruptions.
