ID Technology is on the lookout for a Design Engineer to delve into the world of machine component and parts design, specifically for our label applicator product line. Join our engineering crew as we expand our horizons! This position is steeped in mechanical design but calls for a savvy individual who can seamlessly connect and even design electrical control systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in engineering discipline or equivalent, preferred
  • 6 months to 3 years of engineering experience preferred.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have PC/Computer skills, which include knowledge of word processing, data analysis and spreadsheet applications.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Designing new products or modifying existing ones using engineering principles and input from various sources.
  • Investigating materials, processes, and products based on management assignments.
  • Collaborating with manufacturing to optimize design for cost efficiency.
  • Reviewing product designs with other engineering designers using software like Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Creating engineering documentation for tooling quotations, manufacturing, and preparation.
  • Requesting and assembling prototypes for performance, concept evaluation, and reliability testing.
  • Coordinating development programs to enhance cost efficiency and workflow.
  • Analyzing competitive products in terms of materials, processes, performance, and packaging.
  • Contacting customers, suppliers, and agencies to gather information related to products and processes.
  • Providing engineering field support for customers and maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor, which includes potential travel.
