About The Position

Define design intent, then complete advanced innovative designs utilizing two-dimensional and three-dimensional Pro-E software based on GD&T design philosophies to ensure a successful launch of the product; integrate into all designs the latest technologies based on R&D research; define all testing parameters; analyze all bench mark and test data to optimize performance; conduct FEA and failure analysis using industry-accepted methods and tools; conducts research involving cost savings related to product design; participates in coordinating the manufacture of prototype components and assemblies; assists in troubleshooting process problems related to product in manufacturing/assembly; travels to subcontractors for assessments and information sharing; works with subcontractors to acquire materials for prototype components and assemblies; makes recommendations for product improvement through design; participates in evaluation of returned product as required; creates and maintains paper and electronic files related to product; provides engineering technical assistance to internal customers; attends trade shows and seminars and design training sessions; assists in the training of employees in the engineering department and technical customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 years experience in drafting and design of mechanical close dimension apparatus
  • 2 years experience with close tolerance designing, design software (e.g., NX, Pro-E), and hydraulic systems/motor functions
