About The Position

• Prepare structural calculations for building projects, including gravity and lateral force-resisting systems (wind and seismic) in accordance with IBC and locally adopted Las Vegas codes. • Perform structural design and detailing using steel and reinforced concrete systems to meet applicable code and project requirements. • Develop, coordinate, and maintain structural construction documents in collaboration with architects and other engineering disciplines. • Review shop drawings, perform back-checks of revised structural drawings, and verify compliance with design intent and structural calculations. • Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and provide technical support during the construction phase. • Assist with coordination between design and construction teams to ensure accuracy, constructability, and timely project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete design.
  • Familiarity with gravity and lateral structural systems, including seismic design.
  • Ability to prepare and interpret structural calculations and construction documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progress toward licensure.
  • Experience working under IBC with local amendments.
  • Exposure to common structural analysis and drafting software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM, SAP2000, Revit, AutoCAD).
