About the Role General knowledge of the principles and practices of structural/civil engineering and architecture. Experience in Revit (AutoCAD a plus). Understands and possesses a general knowledge of building codes and structural standards. Experience with and knowledge of structural design software including frame analysis software (RISA 3D, RAM Structural System, etc.). Perform routine aspects of structural engineering assignments under the supervision of the Structural Project Engineer or Structural Project Manager. Using Autodesk Revit Structure to prepare models and drawings for building structures and structural components. Assist in preparation of design calculations for building and non-building structures using different structural systems and materials. Participate in peer review process including review of designs and calculations Review submittals supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, architects, and contractors. Research building code issues and construction documents. Perform onsite construction observation and produce observation reports.
