Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a medical receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide excellent patient service.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
  • Strong organizational skills and a friendly demeanor to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the practice and assist with the check-in process.
  • Manage incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits effectively.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and demographic data.
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area to enhance the patient experience.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Work closely with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient transitions and efficient office workflow.
