Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical healthcare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly related to dermatology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with patients.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and standard office software is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and detailed medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring that necessary instruments and tools are prepared and available.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and manage specimen collection for thorough analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to healthcare privacy regulations.
- Schedule patient appointments and ensure efficient office communication.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medication use, and skincare practices.
- Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate medical supplies.
