Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in dermatology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for positive patient interactions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Strong organizational skills and great attention to detail, especially in a busy healthcare setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and standard office software is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are organized and available.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and manage the handling of specimens for analysis.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and documentation in compliance with health regulations.
- Schedule appointments and facilitate effective communication within the office.
- Educate patients regarding treatment options, medication usage, and effective skincare practices.
- Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and properly stocked with medical supplies.
