About The Position

Full-Time Dermatologist Job in the Upper Midwest | 90 Minutes from Dubuque, Iowa Job-8351 Accepting 2026 Dermatology Resident applications! Some dermatology jobs offer volume. Others offer balance. A rare few offer both, PLUS the chance to build something meaningful in a community that truly needs you. This opportunity falls into that last category. A well-established, physician-led healthcare system in the Upper Midwest is seeking a Board-Certified / Board-Eligible Dermatologist to join its growing team. You’ll practice in a collaborative, referral-rich environment with the infrastructure of a large system — without the pressure cooker feel of a metro market. The Practice You’ll step into an established referral base supported by primary care and specialty physicians who value dermatology access. The scope is flexible and designed to grow with you, whether your interests lean medical, surgical, cosmetic or a thoughtful mix of all three. Regular clinical collaboration, journal clubs and more are part of the culture, supporting both clinical excellence and continued learning. Why This Role Stands Out This is not a satellite clinic with limited tools or support. You’ll have access to top-tier dermatology resources, modern equipment and specialty collaboration typically found in much larger markets — all while enjoying a predictable schedule and meaningful patient relationships. What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like Four-day workweek (full-time status), seeing ~25–30 patients per day in a well-paced clinic Balanced dermatology mix: general / medical dermatology, procedural / surgical cases and optional cosmetic services Strong clinical support with 1–2 dedicated medical assistants and a scribe Established referral network and reputation that allows you to build a niche in an underserved area Highly competitive compensation package, including a lucrative two-year guaranteed base salary, comprehensive benefits, generous PTO and a 401(k) with employer match Compensation & Benefits Snapshot Compensation is highly competitive for the region and backed by the stability of a large health system. Benefits include robust health coverage options, employer retirement contributions, CME funding, paid licensure and dues, professional liability coverage, disability and life insurance and flexibility to pursue teaching, leadership or academic interests if desired. The Ideal Fit This position is ideal for a dermatologist who: Wants to make a real impact in an underserved community without sacrificing clinical resources Values structure, mentorship and collaboration, especially early in their career Is interested in building a long-term practice niche with room to grow clinically and professionally Appreciates lifestyle balance, predictable scheduling and strong institutional support New graduate dermatologists are strongly encouraged to apply. This environment offers the mentorship, infrastructure and patient demand that allow early-career physicians to build confidence and momentum — without compromising compensation or work-life balance. If you’ve ever thought, “ I want meaningful work, but I don’t want to give up support, income or growth ,” this opportunity deserves a closer look. Interested in learning more?
