JOB SUMMARY Analyze and balance daily scheduled/extra Train & Engine (T&E) job assignments, track outage considerations and operational service deviations, interfacing Crew Management Center (CMC)Operations with Transportation Department Operations in a team focused environment, to provide maximum efficiency in utilization of corporate resources in support of passenger train service, customer service, on-board revenue protection and capital project plans. Responsible for ensuring maintenance of T&E employee qualifications, in conformance with Metro-North Railroad (MNR) Rules & Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) regulations, providing a safe environment for customers and employees in support of corporate goals. Provide continuous insight and feedback in the development of T&E staffing plans, training program, budget forecasting, and management process improvement. Direct supervision of the 24/7, 365 Crew Office operations including the Crew Dispatching, Crew Planning and Employee Availability functions, including the management of the staff. Support the implementation and maintenance of the new Crew Management System.
