About The Position

The Autonomous Maritime Platforms (AMP) Business is looking for a Deputy Program Manager – Engineering (DPME) for the Hammerhead Program out of our Taunton, Massachusetts location to support the development, implementation, and testing of the next generation mine system. As a DPME, you’ll support our program engineering leadership team and be responsible for leading a highly skilled cross functional team. Your role includes ensuring all project deliverables (including documentation) are developed with high quality and delivered on time, tailoring engineering processes to establish best engineering practices, and help maintain schedule and staff plans required by the project to be successful. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: Strong background in the Undersea Domain Experience leading teams of 5-15 engineers through large scale system design and implementation Managing engineering resources (e.g. staff assignments, capital equipment, etc.), organizational interfaces, and engineering scope Managing resolutions of technical issues and communicating resolutions to all effected stakeholders Proficient understanding and application of project leadership principles, including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), organizational, and time management skills.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
