About The Position

As a Deputy Director Transportation Operations, you bring a strategic, forward thinking approach that uses data, technology, and industry insight to strengthen parking and transportation operations while ensuring safety, reliability, and excellent customer service. You lead diverse teams with clarity and fairness, navigate both union and non union environments, and communicate effectively with internal partners, external stakeholders, and the traveling public. You balance financial stewardship with operational needs, adapt quickly in a fast paced, 24/7 environment, and remain steady and decisive during emergencies, all while driving continuous improvement across facilities, revenue integrity, and ground transportation services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in parking or busing operations, including at least five (5) years in a supervisory role; airport transportation experience preferred.
  • Experience managing budgets, financial processes, personnel matters, and bargaining unit issues.
  • Proven ability to enhance the reliability and efficiency of ground transportation operations, including improvements to bus dwell times, queue lengths, and overall service performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic direction by leveraging industry trends, technology, and data to strengthen parking, mobility, and ground transportation operations while improving efficiency and service levels.
  • Leads and develops a diverse workforce, manages budgets and revenue integrity, and collaborates across departments to ensure safe, compliant, and high‑performing operations.
  • Oversees the reliability of shuttle bus services and transportation systems, adjusting service levels and driving continuous improvement to meet demand and reduce congestion.
  • Ensures facilities, vehicles, and infrastructure remain in a state of good repair; maintains relationships with taxi and limousine partners; monitors revenue activity; and responds effectively to emergencies in alignment with airport procedures.
