About The Position

Perform complex and detailed administrative tasks for assigned courtrooms and departments under direct supervision. This position is funded by a grant for a duration of time as defined by the grant.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience in appropriate clerical bookkeeping, data processing or statistical work, with one (1) year as a Deputy Court Clerk with the Juvenile Court Clerk's Office; AND
  • High school diploma or possess a GED; OR
  • Two (2) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical work; and one (1) year of college study (30 semester hours or 36 quarters) from an accredited college or university; OR
  • An equivalent combination of related education and /or experience.
  • PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and maintains daily docket or calendar of cases to be called in assigned courtroom.
  • Organizes, routes and files court case folders and posts.
  • Secures information for judges, attorneys and litigants. Informs parties of scheduled court appearances.
  • Provides information to various state and county offices as required.
  • Processes various types of legal documents for the courts and the public.
  • Scans and files legal documents received by the court.
  • Performs data entry. Records case dispositions and court orders.
  • Serves as primary contact for coordinating, collecting and processing court fees.
  • Performs other related duties as required or directed.
