About The Position

The City of O'Fallon, Missouri is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Deputy Court Administrator to assist in the daily operations of the Municipal Court. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient court administration, compliance with state and local regulations, and high-quality service to the public, judiciary, and internal partners.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in public administration, criminal justice, business administration, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of court procedures, record management, and financial processes.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Experience working in a municipal court or legal environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Court Administrator in managing daily Municipal Court operations.
  • Supervise and train court staff; assist with scheduling and workflow coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with Missouri statutes, Supreme Court Rules, and court policies.
  • Prepare reports, manage court records, and oversee financial transactions including fines, fees, and bonds.
  • Serve as a liaison between the court, city departments, law enforcement, attorneys, and the public.
  • Provide customer service at the counter and by phone regarding court procedures and case information.
  • Act on behalf of the Court Administrator in their absence, as assigned.
