About The Position

Responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process, influences outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team, and executes position responsibilities that demonstrates leadership, experience, and creative approaches, and systematically evaluates current practice. Demonstrates proficiency in the following core informatics functions to include content management, application support, health information technology system optimization, enterprise data management, business architecture management, partnership management, requirements management, and change management. The Nurse Deputy Health Informatics Officer (Deputy CHIO) exercises leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and sustainment of hardware and software applications integrated with the electronic health record (EHR) and associated programs/applications. The Deputy CHIO collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including other program and service leaders at the facility/network level. The Deputy CHIO will assist in directing the provision of informatics education, orientation, and competencies, providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization consultation.
