About The Position

Modern Technology Solutions Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Deputy Chief Architect to provide Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) and Program Management Office (PMO) support. This position is directly aligned with supporting the Space Dominance Enterprise Program, delivering mission-critical capabilities for advanced space operations. This position will be onsite El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO and may require travel up to 25% of the time within the continental United States.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years recent experience in supporting cross-functional teams in dynamic environments, including managing competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in tracking and reporting action items, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Proven ability to support workflows within Integrated Product Teams or cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity of Department of Air Force (DAF) programs, specifically C3BM and related data infrastructures, and USSF programs, specifically BMC3I and related Space Domain Awareness programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Systems Management, Engineering, or a related discipline).
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility is required for this position.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Department of War (DoW) programs or similar structured organizations.
  • Proficient in task management or collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, or SharePoint).
  • Experience in preparing senior leadership briefs, reports, and dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and integrate complex schedules and program deliverables.
  • Knowledge of multi-domain operations or systems related to the DAF C3BM architecture/frameworks.
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience supporting DoD or similar organizations, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and leadership to define and execute strategic initiatives, ensuring achievement of organizational priorities.
  • Oversee and manage key projects, providing timely status updates and identifying solutions to potential risks or delays.
  • Develop and track schedules for program deliverables, ensuring alignment with both milestones and mission objectives.
  • Facilitate organizational integration across functional teams and oversee workflows for Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to drive progress toward goals.
  • Monitor and manage leadership deliverables tied to Department of Air Force (DAF) C3BM data infrastructure, ensuring compliance with program requirements.
  • Proactively evaluate risks affecting workflows or timelines, delivering actionable recommendations to remediate challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance team collaboration and operational efficiency.
  • Engage with traditional and nontraditional commercial industry offerings and solutions to help coordinate their inclusion in technology development roadmaps.
