About The Position

The NCCU Department of Athletics' primary purpose is to provide leadership for an NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics program. The NCCU Department of Athletics places the highest priority on a quality academic and athletic experience as part of the overall education of student-athletes. The Department of Athletics seeks to strengthen the integration of the athletics program objectives with academic development objectives. Primary Purpose of Position The Deputy Athletic Director/Senior Women's Administrator - provides comprehensive leadership and oversight for key administrative functions within the athletic department, ensuring compliance with institutional, conference, and NCAA regulations. This role is crucial in fostering a collaborative and respectful environment for student-athletes and staff, managing financial resources, and developing impactful programs.

Requirements

  • Collegiate administrative or coaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff, including interns and graduate assistants.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing successful programs.
  • Thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations, Title IX, EEO, and student conduct policies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Sports Administration, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration).
  • Experience in athletic administration, with a strong background in compliance, financial management, or student-athlete welfare.
